Cherish our earth means save our lives

2021-04-22

Today is a special day for the planet we live on. Today is the 52nd Earth Day. It is a special day for the world's environmental protection, aimed at raising public awareness of existing environmental problems, and mobilizing people to participate in the environmental movement, through a green and low-carbon life, to improve the overall environment of the planet. Earth Day was started in 1970 by Gaylord Nelson and Dennis Hayes. Since then, Earth Day has been celebrated in 192 countries around the world. With the gradual improvement of people's awareness of environmental protection, Earth Day has become the largest non-governmental environmental holiday in the world. Environmental protection is a basic state policy of our country. Since the 1990s, Earth Day has been held on April 22 every year in China. The theme of this year's campaign is "Cherish the Earth, Harmony between Man and Nature".

The earth is the common home of human beings, it provides us with air, water, forests and other survival energy, in addition, there are many earth resources that enable us to survive and continue to grow. However, because of the continuous development of human needs, leading to a variety of actions to destroy the earth continue to happen, and more and more rampant. Forests, lakes, wetlands, etc. on which living things depend are disappearing at an alarming rate. Non-renewable energy sources such as coal, oil and natural gas are exhausted due to excessive exploitation. A large number of greenhouse gases released by energy combustion lead to global warming, which leads to the melting of polar ice caps and the rise of sea levels, etc., threatening the survival and development of human beings. Economic development should not be at the expense of the environment. Therefore, it is urgent to protect the earth's resources and environment and seek a sustainable development model.

At present, we are facing ten environmental problems which is threatening the survival of human beings: global warming; depletion and destruction of the ozone layer; biodiversity reduction; acid rain spread; forest reduction; land desertification; air pollution; water pollution; marine pollution; transboundary movement of hazardous waste. Hazardous wastes generally refer to wastes, other than radioactive wastes, that are chemically active or have toxic, explosive, corrosive or other properties harmful to the human living environment. The special mention of this concept is because of the fact that in recent years, due to the rapid development of industry, hazardous wastes are discharged to varying degrees every day in every city. These wastes may cause or cause human death or serious diseases or disabilities that are difficult to cure. While pursuing rapid industrial development, we should not neglect the development of human health and safety. Faced with the increasingly serious problem of hazardous waste discharge, should we think about and work out some solutions?

In addition to the issue of hazardous waste discharge, garbage classification is also an important measure of environmental protection. Garbage classification refers to the general term of a series of activities in which garbage is stored, placed and handled according to certain regulations or standards, and then transformed into public resources. Some substances in domestic garbage are not easy to degrade, and as time passes, the land will be seriously eroded. However, garbage sorting can remove non-degradable substances and reduce the amount of garbage by more than 60%. In addition, China's garbage treatment mostly adopts sanitary landfill or even simple landfill, which not only occupies the land area, but also causes insects and flies to fly around, resulting in sewage overflowing and stinking. Therefore, garbage sorting can also reduce pollution. In addition, garbage classification can make garbage recycling reasonable. Every year, China uses 4 billion plastic fast food boxes, 500 to 700 million noodle bowls and billions of pairs of disposable chopsticks, which account for 8 to 15 percent of household waste. One ton of plastic waste can be recycled into 600 kilograms of diesel oil. Recycling 1500 tons of waste paper can avoid cutting down trees used to produce 1200 tons of paper. How to maximize the use of waste resources, reduce the amount of waste disposal and improve the living environment through garbage classification management is an urgent issue of common concern to all countries in the world at present.

Man and nature are breathing community! Only positive interaction with the earth can achieve win-win results. This win-win outcome will not only enable the efficient development of the earth's resources, but also ensure that our survival could continue. As a supporter of green activities, Quadranteco has been committed to the development and production of green products, especially our green hotel amenities, which are not only novel and practical in design, but also made of Marine plastic packaging materials and biodegradable formulations. These products are favored by many environmentally friendly hotels and environmental activists. Through our products, we not only hope to create commercial value, but also hope to spread the awareness of environmental protection to every consumer. After all, we only have one earth, if we don't protect her, who can protect her? If we do not save the earth crisis, who can save our survival crisis?
